Earl L. Arthur, 86, formerly of Waterloo, who lived at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, died 5:40pm at the Lutheran Home after a long illness.
He was born Sept. 4, 1890, at Raymond, the son of George E. and Lucia E. Barker Arthur. His {2nd} wife, Maude Arthur, died Jan. 7, 1976.
He was a salesman for the Kellogg company before his retirement.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Holifield of 740 Grant Ave., a stepdaughter, and a stepgrandson.
Friends may call at the DahlVanHove-Schoof Funeral Home until 9pm Wednesday and at the chapel from 9am Thursday until time of service.
Note: Earl was first married to Bertha Juanita Clough.
