James Dobbin was one of the first eight victims who died during the building of the RMS Titanic.
At the time of his death, James was 43 years old and was married.
James worked for the city's main shipbuilders, Harland and Wolff as a Shipwright. James was responsible for the giant chains and wooden props that held RMS Titanic secure on the slipway.
Cause of death: Accidentally crushed under a piece of timber. Shock and hemorrage occurred following a fracture of the pelvis.
James died while RMS Titanic went from dry dock to the sea.
No photos exist of James Dobbin.
