Mrs. Almon was a registered nurse in Home Hospital for 24 years, and she was the co-owner of Elite Feet Dance Studio from 1985 to 1992. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She had been an active volunteer with the Home Hospital Fair.
Surviving are two sons, Mark Nearing of Battle Ground and Tim Almon of West Lafayette; her mother, Lillian Garrett of Salem, OR; two sisters, Pat Pearson of Santa Clarita, CA, and Shirley Parker of Salem, OR; a brother, Bud Garrett of Beltsville, MD; also three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Bradford J. Almon. Internment services will be at Maumee Cemetery, Johnson, IN.
