SKINNER LAKE — Sally Sue Bell, age 66, of Skinner Lake in Albion died on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at her residence on Skinner Lake.
She was born in Kendallville on May 6, 1943, to the late Chester and Neva (Davidson) Palmer.
Mrs. Bell graduated from Kendallville High School in 1961.
She married Jack Bell on September 1, 1963, and he survives on Skinner Lake.
Mrs. Bell was a longtime secretary working at the McCray Memorial Hospital in Kendallville for eight years, the Northeastern Center for three years and for the City of Fort Wayne for 19 years, retiring in 2004.
She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Kendallville and had served as an elder since 2001.
Mrs. Bell has also belonged to the Delta Theta Tau Sorority in Kendallville for several years.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Bell of Skinner Lake in Albion; one daughter, Melissa Smith of Charlotte, North Carolina; and three grandchildren, Andrew Smith, Nathan Smith and Kiersten Smith.
Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David Palmer.
A gathering of friends will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
A Memorial Service will held on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 12:00 PM also at the Hite Funeral Home.
Preferred memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the First Presbyterian Church.
Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville is in charge of arrangements.
