Gary Barnum Killed in War; Rites Sunday

CHOCTAW PFC Gary Barnum, 19, of Choctaw, died March 15 in Vietnam. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church at Choctaw, with; burial pending at Rockport, Texas.

He was born in Rockport and lived in Choctaw for 10 years. He attended school at Midwest City and at Choctaw, where he was on the baseball and football teams and played in the Choctaw High School band.

He attended Oklahoma State University.

Survivors include his sister. Marsha of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Mitchell, Rockport, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Nesmith, of the home.
