Our beautiful mother, grandmother and friend, passed away April 25, 2002 in Salt Lake City, UT after a courageous battle with cancer.
Betty was born July 27, 1926 in Walnutport, PA; daughter of Charles F. Miller and Lizzie May Jones. Married Harry E. Brown in Slatington, PA; Feb. 9 1947; they had one daughter and were later divorced.
She married Ralph J. Smith in Richmond, Indiana March 18, 1955 and later divorced. She married John H. Caverhill in Reno, NV, Jan. 10, 1975.
Betty retired from Southeast Furniture Co. where she was the drapery workroom supervisor. Betty came from a Pennsylvania Dutch heritage and lived in Germany for two and a half years. She enjoyed dancing, fishing, bowling and flower gardening.
Survivors include her daughter Rosalie D. Black of Grand Junction CO; two stepdaughters and four stepsons, Jennifer Fisher of Pocatello, ID; Carolyn Moore of Roberts, ID; John H. Caverhill of Pocatello, ID; Michael Caverhill of Omaha, NE; Steven Caverhill of Iona, ID; and Jeff Caverhill of Pocatello, ID; and many step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Caverhill.
A heartfelt gratitude is extended to Fay Case Care Center for their care during her final days.
No memorial services will be held. Her ashes will be scattered throughout the San Juan Mts. in Colorado.
