Thomas Martin, 89, passed away Tuesday, February 21, in Gladstone, MO. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, February 25, 2006 at McGilley Antioch Chapel with burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Parkville, Missouri. Friends may call from 6-8 PM Friday at the McGilley Antioch Chapel. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, John & Gussie Martin, his first wife Elizabeth "Peggy" Martin; seven brothers, Frank, Homer, Jerome, Carl, Glen, Raymond, and Emmett; three sisters, Louise Hauetter, Catherine Baird, and Mary Irene Nelson; and one stepson, Raymond Glenn Martin. He is survived by his wife Virginia; two stepsons, Don Mitchell, and Tom Mitchell; step grandchildren, great step grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Tom was a veteran of WWII with the Air Corp, a member of VFW post 10906, he retired from Platte County Road District, and worked in plumbing construction for most of his life.
