George Edward Pace, 62, of 46 Peyton Drive, died Thursday, June 21, 2007 at his residence. He was born May 31, 1945 in Waynesboro a son of the late James Wilson and Mary Baber Pace.
Mr. Pace was retired from Perdue Farms. He enjoyed softball games, playing cards, and being with his granddaughters.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary James.
Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Fisher and her husband, Todd of Crimora, Kelly Jackson and her husband, Clayton of Staunton, three brothers, Melvin Pace of Stuarts Draft, Herman Pace of Waynesboro, Charles Pace of Crimora and one sister, Margaret Downs of Harrisonburg, as well as granddaughters, Cassie Earhart and Tiffany Fisher.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, June 25, 2007 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Funeral Service conducted by Pastor Merle Fisher. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tony Reinmiller, Christopher Reinmiller, Roger Cook, Rick Cook, Harold Wimer and Jeff Wimer.
