Belden Obituary

Addie Mae Iliff Belden, daughter of Horace and Susanna Iliff, was born May 3, 1893, at Eldorado, Nebraska. She passed away at the Aurora Hospital, Aurora, Nebraska, on October 20, 1961, at the age of 68 years 5 months and 17 days. Her childhood was spent in the Eldorado vicinity and she attended Harvard High School, graduating in the Class of 1912. She was united in married to Thomas Arthur Belden at Eldorado on June 20, 1912. To this union four daughters were born: Dorothy, Flora, Betty (Maxine) & Darlene. She spent the majority of her life in the Eldorado and Harvard communities. Mrs. Belden was a member of the First Christian Church of Harvard, and Chapter #70 Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, father, mother, and infant brother. Survivors include her four daughters: Dorothy Robertson, Flora Frank, Betty Robertson and Darlene Cushing; 12 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Christian Church with Rev. E. A. Katterhenry officiating. Mrs. Doris Lovgren sang "Evening Prayer" and "In the Garden", accompanied by Mrs. Frances Brenneman. Pallbearers were Ervin Bieck, Ira Fishback, Clayton England, C. T. Voorhees, Everett England, and Gail Darling. Burial was in the Harvard Cemetery with Alberding Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
