Herbert Arndt, 14, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Arndt, 6705 Southeast Seventy-Seventh avenue, died at his home last night as a result of injuries received when his trousers caught in the sprocket of his bicycle while he was coasting down the Mount Scott hill, throwing him. Dr. J. F. Ditto, who was called to the home, reported that the boy was dead when he arrived.

PORTLAND, Or., Friday, Feb. 28. Herbert Arndt died yesterday as a result of a fall from his bicycle. He did not at first appear seriously hurt, and was able to ride home but lapsed into unconsciousness a few hours later.
