Miss Laurie Angell, 38, of Chugiak, Alaska, formerly of Conway, died Monday (Jan. 1, 2001) at Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska.
Born Dec. 14, 1962, in Hazelhurst, Miss., a daughter of Cliff and Marla Angell, she was a wildlife technician with the Department of Public Works-Natural Resources in Fort Richardson, Alaska. She was also a graduate of Silver High School, Silver City, N.M., and received a bachelor's degree in wildlife management and fisheries from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, N.M.
She is survived by her parents of Conway; two sisters, Terrill Angell, and Wendy Sparkman of Eagle River, Alaska; two brothers, Kelly Angell of Palmer, Alaska, and David Angell of Conway; and her grandmother, Fern Angell Johnston of St. George, Utah.
Funeral services were Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Eagle River, Alaska, with burial in Palmer Pioneer Cemetery in Alaska.
