William Howard Anders, 26, of Pittsburg, formerly of Nowata, Okla., died Friday, April 20, 2001, at his home.
He was born July 5, 1974, at Fort Leavenworth, to Clayton E. and Susan L. (Robben) Anders.
He was raised at Nowata and received his education there. He graduated from Nowata High School in 1992. He was an honor student at Pittsburg State University, where he was a junior.
Mr. Anders served in the U.S. Air Force for four years.
He was a member of Phi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.
He attended the Nazarene Church.
Survivors include his mother of Nowata; four brothers, Dean Anders of Phoenix, Ariz., Shane Anders of Rogers, Ark., Byron Anders of Nowata and Kenny Blackmore of Phoenix; five sisters, Dawnna Polmanteer of Arizona City, Ariz., Kim Anders of Phoenix, Chastity Dent of Arkansas City, Cassandra Anders of Nowata and Katy Anders of Nowata; and his maternal grandmother, Luetta Robben of Dodge City.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Church of the Nazarene, Nowata.
Interment will be in Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Stumpff-Nowata Funeral Home, Nowata.
