Lawrence Edward Carr, 60, died suddenly Jan 9, 1976 in a hospital in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Ed was born in Kemmerer, Wyo, July 11, 1925; son of Guy and Lorena Shideler Carr. He attended school in big Piney, Wyoming and upon graduation entered the United States Army Air Corps, serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre as top tail gunner. He received the Good Conduct Medal, Air Medal with two oak-leaf clusters, the Distinguished Flying Cross, and Victory Medal.
After his discharge in 1945, he attended Utah State University in Logan, Utah.
July 23, 1960 he married Ruth Elaine Pecht in Elko, Nevada. Prior to moving to Idaho two years ago, they had lived in Daniel, Green river and Big Piney, Wyoming for fourteen years. In May, 1976, they moved into their new home in Twin Falls.
He had been employed by Northwest Pipeline Corporation for ten years, at the time of his death being employed as senior measurement technician.
He was a member of the Big Piney Congregational Church and was active in the Twin Falls Moose Lodge and Welcome Wagon Club.
Surviving are his widow, Ruth; four daughters, Jessie Lynn, Cheryl, Toni Ann, and Leann; his parents Guy and Lorena of Big Piney, Wyoming, and three brothers, Boyd and James of Big Piney and Guy E. Carr of Ogden, Utah.
Memorial services were held at the White Mortuary Chapel in Twin Falls with Rev. Brian Munson of the United Methodist Church officiating. Father george Mackey conducted concluding services at the Big Piney elementary school multipuprose room with interment in the Plainview Cemetery.
