Debbie lost her battle with ALS or Lou Gherig's Disease. She graduated from Spring Branch High School in 1969 and later became a Registered Nurse. Debbie worked in the Houston area as a Dialysis Nurse for over 20 years. During the last 15 years she worked at Clear Lake Kidney Center and Bayshore Dialysis before becoming an Acute Care Dialysis RN serving the local Clear Lake area hospitals.
Debbie enjoyed scuba diving and sailing and made her home in Seabrook by the water.
She is survived by her mother, Gloria Griffith and husband Dennis. Debbie had 2 children: Shannon Palmer and husband Steve and grandchildren Courtney, Jefferson, Austin, Savannah, and Madilyn. Her son Jason Brown and grandsons Athens, Asher and Killian.
Debbie is survived by 4 sisters and 2 brothers: Donna Groff and husband Chip, Robin Metting and Buck, Brenda Patterson and husband Mike, Sharon Newton and Terri and brothers Dennis and James Austin.
Her friends will remember the joy she had for life and the courage she showed in death.
In honor of her wishes, she will be cremated and returned to the sea she so loved.
