Ruth Elizabeth Pehrson Anderson [had] been a resident of Mendon for 53 years and was a granddaughter of Hans Peter Larsen, original settler of Mendon. Ruth was... a daughter of Carlos Julius William Pehrson and Elizabeth Larsen Pehrson.
She married Elmer Wesley Anderson in Cheyenne, Wyo., June 19, 1943, while he was serving in the U.S. Army. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple on Oct. 6, 1943. They made their home in Mendon and together ran the Mendon trailer park. She received her education in Logan City schools, Utah State Agricultural College and Henager Business College. She worked as a secretary and piano teacher. She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many positions including ward organist, teacher, Relief Society secretary and stake Relief Society secretary. She and her husband held positions on the genealogical committee and temple assignments. She was captain secretary and pianist in the Mendon camp and a Daughter of Utah Pioneers...
