Obituary - The death of Mrs. Kate Bartow, aged 84 years, came suddenly Tuesday morning though she had been in failing health for years. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. T.J. Elms at the house on Thursday afternoon and interment made in the Presbyterian churchyard. She is survived by an only son, Carman Bartow, with whom she resided, and a brother, Charles Davis, of Mt. Sinai. Mrs. Barlow was married three times, her first husband being a Hawkins; second, Sidney Terrell, and the last Carman Bartow. The loss of her only daughter, Mrs. Oliver B. Hewes, two years ago was a great shock to her in so advanced life. Raymond and Clara Hewes are the only grandchildren. Mrs. Wm. Allen Smith of Brooklyn attended the funeral of Mrs. Bartow here on Thursday.
