Gerald Francis Churchill passed away at the age of 89, in the Veterans Center in Ardmore.

He was born on February 3, 1921, in Geneva, NE, to Clyde and Mabel Churchill. Gerald grew up and attended high school in Geneva, and spent one year in college at Lincoln, NE.

After serving in the Navy for three years, Gerald had various jobs before finally settling into a long career and retirement from the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority.

On Feb 18, 1973 he married Ruby Mae Mitchell, daughter of Robert Lee Mitchell and Hester Emeline Gaddis.

Gerald was a member of the Oakview Baptist Church in Madill where he served for many years as a Sunday School superintendent and teacher. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge of Madill where he had served as Past Master and had received his 60 year pin.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Ruby of Madill; a son, Gerald Raymond Churchill of Lebanon, Missouri; a daughter, Penny Frazier of Kingston, Oklahoma; one brother, Everett Churchill of Houston, Texas; four sisters, Evelyn Luethke of Sun City, Arizona, Eleanor Starr of Sun City, Arizona, Lila Benoit of Sun City West, Arizona, and Vivian Volkmer of Geneva, Nebraska; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Doris Waltemade.

A memorial service was held at the Oakview Baptist Church in Madill. Pastor Neil O'Donnell officiated the service with the Madill Masonic Lodge providing a Masonic Ceremony at the end of the service.
