Floyd Kendall Chadsey of McAlester, Oklahoma died Sunday January 15, 2012 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas at the age of 67. Floyd was born to Virgil and Gwendelyn Ruth (Winegar) Chadsey October 25, 1944 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. He graduated from Utah Valley Technical College, Provo, Utah in 1978 with an Associate Degree in Electronics. After retirement he enjoyed working as a Master Builder. Floyd married Diane Marie Gillespie November 22, 1998. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, McAlester Ward. Survived by, wife Diane of the home; children, Brian Chadsey, B.S., D.C. and wife Mitzi of McAlester, Oklahoma, Malinda Chadsey-Carter, M.D. and husband Steve of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Matthew Chadsey and wife Emily of Lemon Grove, California. Christopher Chadsey and wife Latasha of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Wooky Chadsey of McAlester, Oklahoma currently serving a mission in St. George, UT, Ben Compton and wife Tonya of Ft. Worth, Texas, Dustan Compton and Betsy Carter of Grapevine, Texas; Jessica Perez and husband Javier of McAlester, Oklahoma and Sarah Compton of Ada, Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren: Camden Chadsey, Faith Chadsey, Tera Chadsey, Fernando Perez, Justin Perez, Lyliana Perez, Julian Joyce, Luke Chadsey, Cadence Compton, Joah Compton, Lena Compton and Peyton Compton; brothers, Joseph Chadsey of California, Ron Chadsey, Bob Chadsey, Don Chadsey all of Utah; sisters, Dixie Fairborne of Utah and Betty Nelson of Utah; sister-in-law, Linda Bridges and husband Mike of Braden, Florida; brother-in-law, Keith Gillespie and wife Wendy; father-in-law and mother –in-law, Homer "Red" Harvey and Nancy Gillespie and other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by, his parents, Virgil and Gwendelyn Chadsey; his first wife, Linda May Chadsey in 1995; daughters, Jennifer Rae Chadsey, Tiffany Ann Chadsey and Alyssa Jo Chadsey; brother, Jim Chadsey; sisters, Judy Chadsey and Peggy Chadsey. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Jody Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain Station Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Ben Compton, Dustan Compton, Camden Chadsey, Steve Carter, Keith Gillespie and Justin Perez. Honorary pallbearers will be: Hugh Bush, Wooky Chadsey, Joseph Chadsey, Ron Chadsey, Homer "Red" Gillespie, Jim Pratt, Bill Murdaugh and Michael Wilbur.
