Manitou - Funeral services for
EVA ELIZABETH "LIZZIE" HOGUE, 91, of Manitou, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Gray Gish Funeral Home Chapel, Frederick, with the Rev. Tricia Cooper, hospice chaplain, officiating.
Mrs. Hogue died Friday, Oct. 20, 2006, in Frederick.
Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery, north of Frederick, under the direction of Gray Gish Funeral Home.
She was born Sept. 29, 1915, southeast of Manitou to Johnny Jr. and Ruby Dangerfield Fisher. She attended Bethel School and was a lifelong resident of Tillman County.
She married Lesley Lee Hogue on June 2, 1934, in Manitou. He died Dec. 6, 1978. She belonged to the Friendship Quilting Club for many years and was a member of Manitou Methodist Church. She worked for Centra Leather Goods and retired after 25 years of employment.
Survivors include a son, Dale Hogue and wife, Chessie, Frederick; one daughter, Ruby Hassell and husband Gene, and Scott Hogue and wife Brenda, all of Manitou; four grandsons: Mike Hassell, Manitou, Chris Hassell and wife Martha, Mustang; and Marty Hogue and wife Debbie, Okarche; two granddaughters: Vickie Rodrigues and husband Jose, Cape Girardeau, Mo.; and Tammy Barber and husband Loyal, Lewisville, Texas; one brother-in-law, Durwood Bloodworth; two sisters-in-law: Myrtha Fisher and Dossie Fisher; 10 great-grandchildren: Cody Hassell, Joshua and Adam Barber, Brian Hogue, Sara Trout, Lisa Williams, Rebekah Hogue, Britney Hogue, Katie Hassell and Kelly Hassell; one great-great-grandson; and one step great-great-grandson; and a host of nephews and nieces and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: Fritz, Billy, Walter and Emanual Fisher; five sisters: Liddie Tricie, Esther Mitchell, Lillie Bowen, Judy Bloodworth and Ruby Erwin.
