In the 1850 cenusus in Madison, Morgan Indiana as Penelope Davis age 44 with her children- Sarah Stears age 18, Clark Stears age 15 and Jonathan Davis age 5. She is also living with her father Jonas Priest age- 74, her mother lucy age- 66, sister Mary Priest age -38 and a brother William Priest age-25. Lucy Ann Kitchen was not listed in the 1850 census
Penelope is burried in the East Cemetery where her sister Tamara is

Johanna Matlock, the daughter of William and Sarah Matlock, is thought to have been born in about 1794 in Knox County, Tennessee. She was later married in Roane County, Tennessee to a man named Charles Kitchen on 24 August 1813. Johanna subsequently died on 27 January 1834 in Morgan County, Indiana.
After his first wife passed away, Charles married for a second time to a woman named Penelope Priest Steers on 11 February 1836. They had one daughter named Lucy Ann who was born on 20 December 1836 in Morgan County. (Some say that she died the day of her birth) During the following year, Charles apparently returned to Tennessee where he died. On 8 May 1837, the Morgan County Court appointed William Dornan as guardian of George, David, Nancy, Stephen, and Rebecca Kitchen
buried.
