He grew up near Lakin, attended Lakin high school, graduating with the class of 1925.
He became a member of the Christian Church at the age of 14 years and remained true to that faith until his death. He possessed a kind and unselfish nature, always thinking of the happiness of those he loved. He will be greatly missed by his mother, Mrs. Geo. Bahntge; two brothers, Geo. And Julian; and one sister, Audrey Annis; also other relatives who survive him.
Stepping out of his shadows, into the light; passing out of the night into the light of day. Why do we call it dying, this sweet going away.
