WALTHAM -- Luis M. Archer, 49, of Waltham, died Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at Massachusetts General Hospital, from injuries suffered in a fall.
He was the husband of Edna L. (Flores) Archer of Allston.
Born in Guatemala, he was the son of Natalia (Cardona) Archer of Guatemala and the late Miguel A. Archer. He had been a resident of Waltham and Allston since coming to the U.S. approximately 21 years ago.
Mr. Archer was employed by Resource One New England for five years. He was dedicated to his work and his family.
Besides his wife and mother, he leaves his son, Alex A. Archer of Allston; his daughter, Michelle Archer of Allston; his sisters, Maria Luisa Archer and Berta Archer, both of New Jersey, and Rebeca Lam-Archer of Chelsea; his brothers, Miguel Archer and Oscar Archer, both of Guatemala; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was the brother of the late Jorge Archer.
A graveside funeral service in celebration of his life will be held Saturday, July 29, at 2 p.m. at Mount Feake Cemetery, 203 Prospect St., Waltham.
Visiting hours will held Friday, July 28, from 5 to 7 p.m., and Saturday, July 29, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Brasco and Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., Waltham.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to Luis Archer Memorial Account, Bank of America.
