Mrs. Halverson Of New Holstein Called to Rest


Mrs. Carl Halverson, 36, nee Irene Krueger, passed away at the Holy Family hospital, Manitowoc, Sunday at 10:20 p.m.


She was born May 17, 1905, in the town of Rockland, Manitowoc county, the daughter of Mr. and Mfrs. William Krueger, and was married to Carl Halverson of Valders on Nov. 20, 1937, at Reedsville.

The couple lived on a farm in the town of Liberty, Manitowoc county, and in September, 1940, moved to New Holstein.


Survivors are her husband; two children, Lu Ann May and Roger Vern, three and two years respectively; her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. William Krueger of town of Rockland; a brother, Levi, of town of Liberty; four sisters, Mrs. Elsie Behnke of Valders, Mrs. Allan Schoenfeld of Plymouth, Mrs. William Gannigan of Sheboygan Falls and Miss Alma of New Holstein.


Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Erbe-Hoffman Funeral home and at 2 p.m. at the Rockland Evangelical Lutheran church. The Rev. W. J. Abe will officiate and burial will be made int he town of Rockland cemetery. Friends may view the body at the funeral home beginning Tuesday noon.
