The following obituary appeared in the "Patriot-News" (Harrisburg, PA) on October 22, 2013:

Mary G. Baker, 93, of Newport, PA., passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 20, 2013, at Frey Village, Middletown, PA.
Born in Steelton, PA., she was the daughter of the late John and Alojzia (Louise) Plut.

Mary was a graduate of Steelton High School. She was a homemaker who excelled at everything she tried. She was excellent at cooking, baking and was an expert seamstress. She loved deeply, was generous and giving, and had a positive attitude. Spending time with her family and friends gave her great joy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse R. Baker and three brothers. Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Firestone of Hummelstown and Kathleen Corkle and her husband, Robert of Harrisburg; Two beloved granddaughters Laura and Amanda.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 25, 2013 at 2 PM at Boyer Family Funeral Home, 230 N. High Street, Duncannon. Burial will be in Bucks Valley United Methodist Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
