OBITUARY:
McClure - At Nimrod, Minnesota,
April 28, 1893, of pulmonary dropsy.
Mrs. Lydia McClure, aged 73 years.
The deceased was a native of New Hampshire. Her maiden name was Lydia Norris. She was married to C. McClure, Boston, Nov. 11, 1850. They came to Minnesota in 1866, and resided in Anoka county until coming to Wadena county in 1884. She was a member of the M.E. church since early childhood, and left a record of a well spent life. She was the mother of six children, three of whom are living.
George M. and Oscar A McClure live at Nimrod and with their aged father are left to mourn their mutual loss. But their loss is her eternal gain. The funeral services were held at the residence, conducted by Rev. W.J. Heapes, of Verndale, who chose for his text the words found in Psalms xc:12, "So teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom." She was laid to rest in the cemetery near the Crow Wing.
