Mrs. Mary Fitzgerald, 78, Minneiska, died early Sunday morning of a heart condition at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Wabasha, where she had been a patient the past week. The former Mary M. Haines, she was born Nov. 18, 1891 in Arcadia, Wis., to Mr. and Mrs. Edward Haines and was married to Edward J. Fitzgerald Nov. 24, 1922. They moved here that same year. Her husband was a deputy sheriff in Wabasha County for many years. She was a member of St. Ann Society of St. Mary's Catholic Church here. Survivors are: three sisters, Mrs. Rose George and Mrs. Florence Arnoldy, Minneapolis, and Miss Nora Haines, Arcadia. Her husband died June 7, 1940. Four brothers and several sisters have also died. Funeral services will be at 11 a. m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Minneiska, and the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Joseph Haggerty officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Pall bearers will be Gerald Hawley, James and John Fitzgerald, Richard Haines, Wilfred Meyers, and Bernard Haines.Friends may call at Abbott-Wise Funeral Home, Wabasha, after 2 p.m. Tuesday. Parish Rosary will be recited at 9 p.m.
