Mary Louise Colson, 75, of Keymar, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, at home after an extended illness.
Born Nov. 24, 1934, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Virginia Reaver Staub.
She was the wife of William D. Colson, her husband of 55 years.
She was a member of Sams Creek Church of the Brethren, near Dennings. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, taking pictures and spending time with her family.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughter Wanda L. Pipkin and husband Edward, of Hagerstown; sons William E. Colson, of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., David L. Colson and wife Debra, of Gettysburg, Pa., Joseph M. Colson and wife Sherry, of Union Bridge, Douglas J. Colson and wife Ann, of Libertytown, and Steve A. Colson and wife Kimberly, of Emmitsburg; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters Rosanna Lescalleet, of Keymar, and Rhoda Cain, of Taneytown; brothers Robert and Ernie Staub, both of Emmitsburg, and Merv and Ralph Staub, both of Taneytown.
She was predeceased by a sister, Evie Springer; a brother, Raymond Staub; and a great-granddaughter, Hailey Grace Ashbaugh.
Interment will be in Sams Creek Cemetery.
