Lula Escline Morrison Adkins 80 of Whitman, WV departed this life to be with the Lord on Saturday December 11, 2010 with her family by her side at Logan Regional Medical Center after a long illness. Born July 12, 1930 at Wilkinson, WV.
She was the daughter of the late Fred Morrison and Elsie Pennington Morrison Castelle of Whitman.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years James L. Adkins of Whitman
one son Alan D. (Linda) Adkins also of Whitman.
Three grandchildren Jeffrey (Tiffany) Adkins of Middleburg, Florida, Alicia (Vester) Black of Bluefield, WV and Bruce Adkins of Whitman, WV,
Five grandsons Nicholas, Gregory and Jamison Adkins of Florida, Hayden and Seth Black of Bluefield, WV
step grandsons Claytron and Evan Fravala of Florida,
additional survivors include her sister Evelyn Bradley of Chesapeake, Ohio
special nieces Carol, Judy and Louise and nephews Fred.
Funeral service was at James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn White and Rev. Joaquine Ooten officiating. Burial in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
