Born in Old Fields, across the hill from the cemetery,son of Worley B. & Elma Helmick, brother Lawrence W. and sister Lenora B. (buried in same cemetery) raised on farm, after WWII rose from teller to VP of First Nat'l Bank. Wife, Juanita, surviving and 2 sons, Rev. Albert B., missing and presumed drowned by hurricane in Haiti, 1998 & Arnold B.(surviving at this time).
Mr. Helmick died at age 68 of complications from heart bypass surgery.
