Services for Hilda S. East, 72, Quisenberry Lane, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, with the Revs. Larry Purcell and Bob Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in Lander Cemetery at Gracey. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
She died at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.
A native of Trigg County, she was born April 7, 1936, the daughter of the late Cecil and Carrie Belle Burgess Stewart. She had been a nurse in the medical practice of Drs. Robertson and Cox. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church.
A son, Jefferey Mitchell, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Ed East; a stepdaughter, Julie Payton; a stepson, Bryant East, and three granddaughters.
