Betty Jo was born June 19, 1942, in Berkeley County, a daughter of Gilbert Walter Wiggins and Sadie Dehay Wiggins.
A graduate of Berkeley High School, she was retired from the S. C. Forestry Commission and as a dispatcher with Berkeley County Government. Following retirement, she had been employed with Walmart in Moncks Corner.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are a daughter - Kelly C. Connor of Cross; a son - Samuel "Bubba" Clark of Cross; 2 sisters - Sadie Odom and her husband, Fred, of North Charleston; and Lynda Martin and her husband, Ronald, of Macedonia; a brother - Richard Wiggins and his wife, Jane, of Sandridge; and 3 grandchildren - Chelsia Clark; Sammy Connor; and Cortez Gonzalez.
Her funeral service will be held at Russell Funeral Chapel, Friday morning, March 7, 2014, at 11 o'clock. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery in Cross. The family will receive friends at Russell Funeral Chapel, between 6 and 8 o'clock Thursday evening.
