Services for Lloyd L. Ainsworth will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Sanctuary of Praise Church, Pineville with Pastor David Kimsey and Bishop David Roberts, officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville.

Visitation will be Friday, April 27, 2012, at Hixson Brothers, Pineville, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday at the Church from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Mr. Ainsworth, 88, of Pineville, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at the Veterans Affairs Nursing Home in Pineville.

He was a member of Sanctuary of Praise Church and a U. S. Army veteran of WWII. Mr. Ainsworth was a minister at one time. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Mildred M. Ainsworth; parents, Franklin Fate & Bessie Keen Ainsworth; brothers, Elmo Ainsworth, Harlan Ainsworth, Calvin Ainsworth; sisters, Olivia Ainsworth, Launa Scroggs.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Velma A. Ainsworth; sons, Jerry Ainsworth & wife Karen, Ronald Ainsworth & wife Diane; daughters, Peggy Ainsworth, Wanda Brown & husband Leland; stepson, Tim Hunter & wife Bobbye; stepdaughter, Sandra Hines & husband Robert; sister, Olean Webb; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and numerous step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, and step great great grandchildren,to whom he was affectionately known as "Papa Lloyd".

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Hines, Davin Ainsworth, Cary Brown, Andrew Ennis, Kenneth Ainsworth, and Bryan Stokes. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Hunter, Tim Hunter, Kevin Allen, Trey Ory, and Michael Brown.

The family would like to thank the staff of the VA Nursing Home and to the 45 AU Department, and also to Tracie Hunter for their special care.
