On July 2, 1959 as Pearl E. Fadoir, she married Edwin A. Miller at Coxsack, New York.
On October 24, 1980 as Pearl Elizabeth Miller, she married Ralph Blackburn Gilliland. He died in 1986.
On March 21, 1992 as Pearl Elizabeth Fadoir Miller Gilliland, she married Eugene Dale Sands at Indian River, Florida.
On September 25, 1996 as Pearl E. Fadoir, she married Norbert J. Andrzejewski at Bexar County, Texas.
On November 10, 1998, their marriage ended in divorce at Bexar County, Texas.

Pearl E. Miller Gilliland Ahern was born December 8, 1922 in Torrington, Connecticut, the daughter of Michael and Josephine Fadoir. In 1943, she graduated from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Hartford, Connecticut. In 1943, she attended Catholic University and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps. She was assigned to the 135th Evacuation Hospital which was preparing for the European Theatre. In early 1945, the 135th was aboard a troop ship in a convoy on the way to France when it was rammed by an off course tanker. Unable to keep up with the convoy the ship docked in Southampton, England. The unit was sent to France and attached to the 17th Airborne Division which was preparing for airborne assault across the Rhine. After the end of World War II, she remained in France where she served at the Louis Pasteur Hospital in Nice, France; the 112th Evac Hospital in Degendorf in the Alps. After her return to the United States she served at Letterman General Hospital in San Francisco until April 1947, when she was discharged as a First Lieutenant, Army Nurse Corps. After her discharge she worked in Public Health Nursing in California. Enrolling in UCLA, she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 1951. She went to Newfoundland for three years where she was on the Faculty of St. Johns General Hospital School of Nursing. In 1953, she joined the Air Force and was commissioned a Captain in the United States Air Force Nurse Corps. In 1954, she was at Flight Nurse School; spent two years at Wheelus Air Base in Libya and three years at the Royal Air Force Base at Lakenheath in England. In 1960, she earned an MS Degree from Adelphi University in New York. Her final assignment, as Chief of Psychiatric Nursing, was at Wilford Hall at Lackland Air Base in Texas. In 1972, she retired from the United States Air Force Nurse Corps with the grade of Colonel. After her discharge, she became Director of Nurses for Santa Rosa Medical Center in San Antonio. In 1978, she earned a Post Masters in School of Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. She also became an Ecumenical Minister and she visited the transplant hospital to give Communion. She was one of the founders of the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Matthew Catholic Church and was awarded a Papal Blessing by Pope Benedict. She was a member of the Third Order of Franciscans, the St. Vincent de Paul Society, the Serra Club, the American Legion, Catholic War Veterans, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Association of Air Force Nurses. She was a long time member of St. Matthew Parish in San Antonio. In 1980, she married Ralph Gilliland who died in 1986. In 2003, she married Joseph Ahern, whom she first met in France in World War II. Her hospital was attached to his airborne division in 1945. They had dated, but were separated during the war and in the early 2000s he called and visited her, resulting in their marriage. He was 86 and she was 81. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ahern; brother, Edwin M. Fadoir and sister, Doris Fadoir Mitchell. She died on November 26, 2015. Survivors included two sisters, 16 nieces and nephews; three stepdaughters from her marriage to Ralph Gilliland and six stepchildren from her marriage to Joseph Ahern. A memorial rosary, followed by Mass was said at St. Matthew Catholic Church at 10703 Wurzbach Road in San Antonio, Texas. A second Memorial Mass was celebrated in the Catholic Chapel at West Point Military Academy. Interment was in West Point Cemetery. Arrangements for the New York services were by William Hogan Funeral Home at 135 Main Street in Highland Falls, New York. Arrangements in Texas were by Mission Park Funeral Chapels North at 3401 Cherry Ridge in San Antonio, Texas.
