Last rites for C.V. Cagle, 67, of Newcastle were held in the Proffitt Baptist Church with Rev. F.M. Richardson officiating.
He married Malinda Reece in Georgia in 1924. A carpenter, he had lived in and around Newcastle since 1926. He had served in the Army Medical Corp in World War I.
Survivors: wife; three sons - Eugene Cagle, Max Cagle, Melvin Cagle; daughter - Mrs. L.G. Tate; father - J.C. Cagle; brother; sister.
