DUMAS - Dr. Lawrence Ray Boggs Jr., 58, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Northlawn Memorial Gardens with Jori Buchenau, senior pastor of Grace Thru Faith, officiating, assisted by Steve Simpson, pastor of worship at Grace Thru Faith.

Dr. Boggs was born Aug. 15, 1948, in Amarillo, to Lawrence Ray Boggs Sr. and Betty Jean Richardson Boggs. He graduated from Hereford High School in 1966 and on Aug. 20, 1966, he married Linda Kay Hammett in Cotton Center. That same year he began attending college at San Jacinto College in Pasadena and Texas Chiropractic College, also in Pasadena.

In 1970, he graduated and received his degree and in May of 1971, he opened his own Chiropractic practice, Dr. L. R. Boggs Jr. Chiropractor, in Dumas. Dr. Boggs loved golf and reading and was a Mason.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Ray Boggs Sr., in September of 1993.

Survivors include his wife, Linda of the home; two sons, Eric Boggs and wife, Holli of Dumas and Warren Boggs and wife Andrea of Amarillo; a daughter, Lisa Morgan and husband Brady of Amarillo; his mother, Betty Boggs of Hereford; a sister, Derenda Deleon of Canyon; one god-daughter, Lacey Adams and husband Steven of Lubbock; six grandchildren, Warren Lee, Julian, Gregory, Addison, Kirsten and Tyler Grace and his Jesus Kids.

The family suggests memorials be to Grace Thru Faith Building Fund, Box 452, Dumas, TX 79029.

The family will be at 308 Melinda Lane in Dumas.
