Nelda Jo Beaver Allen, age 76, born August 27, 1933 in Chidester, Arkansas passed away July 4, 2010 at her home. She was preceded in death by her father, Ellis Ray Beaver, mother, Lydia Schooley Darby, stepmother, Mabel Dean Beaver; her sister, Reba Beaver Glover; brother-in-law, Wyley Jack Elliott; and son-in-law, Steve B. Farris.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, James Rudy Allen; her son, David Allen and his wife, Susan of Chelsea, Alabama; her daughters, Teresa Sanders and husband, Don of Mandeville, LA and Patti Farris of Camden, AR. She also leaves behind her beloved sisters, Amanda Souter and husband, Don of Taylor, Judy Elliott of Magnolia, and Kathy Robertson of Chidester; brothers, Duane Beaver and wife, Patty of Chidester, Larry Brian and wife, Irene of Camden; and brother-in-law, Bill Glover and wife, Evelyn of Chidester. She also had five grandchildren, Damon Ledbetter, Amy Allen Dowden, Hope Sanders, Slade Farris, and Jeffery Sanders; and two great-grandchildren, Ava and Alivia Dowden. She was also a favorite Aunt Jo Jo to many nieces and nephews.
Services will be officiated by Rev. Larry Goza. Visitation will be at Proctor Funeral Home, Tuesday, July 6th from 6-8 PM. Services will be held at Proctor's Chapel on Wednesday, July 7th at 10:00 a.m. with interment at Memorial Park. The family will be receiving visitors at the family home in Chidester.
