Arrie Jeanetta "Jean" and "Granny" (to many children) Anderson of Crowley, Louisiana formerly of Richmond, Texas passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 11, 2013 after a long struggle with cancer in her home. She was preceded in death by her husband T.C. Anderson, daughter Anita Chitwood and her parents David & Eilene Sharp.
She leaves behind her companion B.L. Jobes, daughters TJ Brace and husband Robert, Cathy Perry and husband Chuck, son David and wife Sherry, sister Bea Duce & husband Paul, brother Jerry Sharp & wife Evelyn, along with many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

CROWLEY – Gone to be with the Lord on May 11, Arrie Jeanita "Jean" Anderson, 78, she will be laid to rest with funeral services at Parkerson Avenue Baptist Church in Crowley at 11 a.m., Monday, May 13.
Jean was born Jan. 10, 1935 in Crockett, Texas, and grew up in Kountze, Texas, before moving to the Richmond, Texas, area in 1950. She and her husband raised four children in Richmond. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Richmond. During that time, she worked at the Richmond State School as well as holding other care-giving jobs. During her years, she cared for many children and was known as "Granny" to many. After the death of her husband, she moved to Crowley and became a member of the Parkerson Avenue Baptist Church in Crowley.
Jean is survived by her dear friend; two daughters; one son; one sister; one brother; and a brother-in-law); 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her dear friends of Parkerson Avenue Baptist Church.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, T. C. Anderson; her daughter, Anita Anderson Chitwood; and her parents Eiliene and David Sharp.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Parkerson Avenue Baptist of Church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., of Rayne.
