Comanche — BOBBIE JO ADAMS, 38, of Comanche, Okla., died Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, near Velma.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, in Marlow Cemetery, with the Rev. Travis Stewart officiating. Services are under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
She was born in Duncan on Jan. 14, 1971. Bobbie Jo was an amazing mother, grandma and friend to many. She lived life to the fullest no matter what was handed to her — good or bad. Loving people were her passion. She was the person to run to and the best shoulder to cry on. She was never afraid of any obstacle that stood in her way.
Survivors include five children, Briana Adams, Courtney Spann and Dalton Spann, all of the home, Lexi Skeen and John Daniel Skeen; her father, Bob Adams of Marlow; fiancé, Christopher R. McDowell of Comanche; five sisters, Betsie Ann Peebler, Kimberly Anderson of Mississippi, Christina Caft of Mississippi, Christine Franks, and Jessica Cushman of Duncan; a brother, Curtis "Byrd" Towell Jr. of Duncan; a grandson, Damian Joe Adams; aunts and uncles, Steve and Carolyn Adams of Clinton, Don Adams of Pernell, and Curtis and Debbie Reed of Elmore City; and close friends, Tori and Cody Gilmore of Duncan.
Whether in our lives, short or long term, your memory will live in our hearts forever.
Pallbearers will be Chris McDowell, Cody Gilmore, Curtis "Byrd" Towell Jr., Jason Kuhn, Vincent Reed and Jimmy Parr.
