Welker, at the advanced age of 89 years. deceased was a repsected old pioneer
of the county, coming here from Columbiana County in 1856. Abraham Baker, the
father, died in 1888, at 81 years. Elizabeth was the mother of John, Baker,
Mrs. Samuel Stauterback, Joshuia baker, Elisha Baker, Joseph N. Naker, Mrs. C
Pattee. Also two sons died in the army, Jason baker, 21st OVI killed near
Vining Station, GA in 1864 and Isaac Baker, who died in the hospital at
nashville, TN, also 21st OVI, in February 1963. Of the six sons, five served in
the war from 1-3 years. Fuineral was held in van Buren.
