Jacquelin "Jackie" Broe Duff, our beautiful wife and mother peacefully passed away on December 29, 2012 at the age of 90 in her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Jacquelin was born on June 29, 1922 to Frank and Helen Broe of St. Louis, Missouri.
Jackie grew up in St. Louis where, at the age of 20, she met a nice, young man who asked her out dancing on a riverboat stationed on the Mississippi River. From this day sprung an inspiring love story as the two married on April 15, 1944 and remained together happily ever after.
Jackie and her husband worked and raised their family across the United States and Europe. At different points in her life Jackie worked as a Secretary to the County Commissioners in Maryland, the United States Arms Control Mission in Geneva and later in life she volunteered as a docent for the Albuquerque Museum.
Jackie was an avid reader and a passionate participant in the various Catholic communities where she lived. Once settled in Albuquerque, Jackie and Bob became two of the founding members of the Prince of Peace Catholic Parish. Jackie was sadly preceded in death by her brother, Varley and her two beautiful grandchildren, Elizabeth Ladino and Ryan Duff.
Jackie is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Duff, Col. USAF (ret.) and their four children, The Reverend Michele (Duff) Rahhal and her husband, Bill and their children, Robert Rahhal, Michael Rahhal and his wife, KC Perry, Chris Rahhal and his wife, Stacy Hill-Rahhal and their children, Christian and Aliyah, Melissa (Duff) Zink and her husband, Tom and their children, Geoff Shelton and Stacey Shelton-Zink, Robyn (Duff) Ladino and her husband, Tony and their children, Marie Ladino, Joseph Ladino and Rebecca Ladino, Dennis Duff and his wife, Linda and their children, Michael Duff, Lauren (Duff) Dodington and her husband, Jim and their daughter, Elsa.
Jackie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. The love she showered upon her family and friends will continue to brighten their lives and her spirit will live on through them.
