JAMES LOGAN BEAL was born in Crosby county, Texas, Aug. 20th, 1896, being a son of the late John L. Beal and wife. He was married to Roxy Cannon Jan 8, 1916, and had resided at the Logan - Beal ranch at Dunlap, N.M. for the past four or five years. He died at Roswell, N.M. Oct. 11, 1917. He leaves a wife, two sisters and five brothers to mourn his departure from this life.
The funeral was conducted by Rev. L. L. Thurston, Oct. 14, 1917 at the home of deceased's brother Sid Beal, of this city. A large concourse of friends was in attendance and followed the remains to their last resting place in the Elida cemetery.
Those who came from a distance to attend the funeral were: Miss Anna Beal, from the T. P. college, Milford, Texas, a sister: Mr. and Mrs. Cannon, parents of Mrs. Jas. Beal, and a sister of the latter, Mrs. M. Coleman of Lubbock, Texas.
The Enterprise joins the community in extending sympathy to the bereaved family.
