PITTS --- Services for John B. Britt will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in M.G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier-Holt Funeral Directors, Rochelle, with burial in Morningside Cemetery. Britt, 79, died Friday, March 23, 2001. An Army veteran of World War II, he was retired from the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany and was a former radio dispatcher with the Rochelle Police Department. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. He was also a member of Rochelle Masonic Lodge No. 190 and the Peace Officers Association of Georgia.
Survivors include his children Charles Britt of Pitts and Jean Britt of Pineview; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight in the funeral home and may be contacted at the residence on Thompson Road, Pitts.
