Wynelle Westbrook Brooker
KENNESAW -- Wynelle Westbrook Brooker, 73, of Kennesaw died Monday, Nov. 10, 2003.
Funeral services were held Nov. 12, 2003, at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta. Graveside services were held Nov. 13, 2003, at Morningside Cemetery in Rochelle. The Rev. David Clark officiated the services.
Mrs. Brooker was born in Crisp County on June 10, 1930, the daughter of the late Homer C. and Cleo Westbrook. She attended Wilcox County High School and upon graduation, moved to Atlanta to finish her education. She later married and had two children, Peggy George of Acworth, and Bill Scott of Orlando, Fla. She retired from the Veteran's Administration and worked part-time at Costco. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kennesaw, and was an active member of the Kennesaw Senior Citizens, where she learned to paint and had many beautiful paintings. She traveled extensively in Europe, Scandinavia, England, Mexico and over the United States. She was the youngest of five children and was preceded in death by her parents and oldest brother, Grady Westbrook.
Survivors include her two children; a sister, Lois Westbrook Sims of Cordele; two brothers, Milton Westbrook of Cumming, and Louis Westbrook of Buford; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Frazier & Son Funeral Home of Rochelle had charge of the local arrangements.
