Harvey D. Carmichael, 56, died in Seymour Sunday while visiting his sister there.

Mr. Carmichael was born in Austin County and lived in Ben Arnold for 47 years. He had been with the Carey Lumber Co. in Cameron for a number of years before moving to Mullen. He had been in declining health for the past two years.

Mr. Carmichael was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion. He was an active member of the First Methodist Church in Ben Arnold.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. N. Carmichael and one sister, Mrs. H. R. McDonald of Seymour.

Funeral services were held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, February 28 at the Chapelk of Green Funeral Home with Rev. P. L. Caperton officiating. Interment in the Ben Arnold Cemetery.
