Mrs. Marian T. "Peach" Lingg Bevenour, 63, of 13-1 E. High St., New Oxford, died at the home of her daghter, Mrs. David Schriver of New Oxford at 1:05 p.m. Thursday.
She was born in Adams County, the daughter of the late Clement and Victoria Fleshman Lingg. Her husband died in July 1959.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in New Oxford, the Rosary Society, and the MCCW, she also served on the election board in New Oxford for many years.
Mrs. Bevenour was retired from the Sylvania Shoe Co.
Surviving are six children, Mrs. Francis Hagerman of McSherrystown, Kenneth C. Bevenour of New Oxford, Fred E. Bevenour of Silver Springs, Md., Mrs. Myrna L. Winand of Hanover, Mrs. Shriver and Merle E. Bevenour of McSherrystown; 17 grandchildren; one great grandchild, and a brother, Timothy Lingg of Springfield.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, meeting at the Feiser Funeral Home, New Oxford at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church in New Oxford, with Monsignor Lawrence Overbaugh as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
