He passed away Thursday, April 27, 2012, at Mercy St. Francis Hospital in Mountain View, Mo., at the age of 80 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Rose Best; one sister, Edna Best; three brothers, Archie Elmo Lockman, Andrew Lockman, and Earl Best Jr.
Franklin is survived by one son, Randy Best, and wife Mary of Winona, Mo.; one grandchild Christy Boyer and Jason of Winona, Mo.; three great-grandchildren Randy, Ryan, and James Boyer, all of Winona, Mo.; and a host of other family and friends.
He liked to race cars and drive fast, but most of all he loved spending time with family and friends. Franklin will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at the Duncan Funeral Chapel in Winona, Mo., with Pastor Sharon Barton officiating.
Interment was in Pinelawn Cemetery in Winona, Mo., under the direction of Duncan Funeral Homes.
