Norman "Wade" Hughey is the son of Flint Hughey and Janie Atchley Hughey.

His siblings are "Alvie" Gardner Hughey, Charles Hughey, Francis HUGHEY Womack, Jerry Hughey and "Joe" Willy Hughey.

Wade married "Patsy" Gayle "Pat" OWENS Bruce Hughey who is the widow of Larry Wayne Bruce.

Wade and Patsy are the parents of Sonja "Darlene" Hughey Lawrence Legg West (Mrs. Charles "Roland" Lawrence) , "Dennis" Wade Hughey, Deborah Denise "Debbie" Hughey Thomas and Trudy "Diane" Hughey Griggs Burgett Jackson. His stepson who he raised as his own son is David Wayne "Davie" Bruce (son of Larry Wayne Bruce).

They are the grandparents of Crystal Bruce Parker, Brandy Bruce and Blake Bruce; Brad and Michelle Lawrence and Tiffany West; Donnie Hughey and Jillian Hughey Shephard; Tasha and Keri Thomas and Danielle, Dustin and Candace Burgett.

Wade and Pat are great grandparents of Austin Lawrence, Dakota and Chloe Shephard and Zoe Burgett Shoen(sp?).

Wade worked in Decatur at Fruehauf for many, many years. He died from cancer two months to the day after diagnosis. Wade was a good man and a dear uncle of mine. I miss him very, very much.

Rest in peace, Wade.
