Linda Blackwell Childers, A native of Pineland, Texas and a resident of Satsuma, Alabama died Wednesday September 10, 2008 at home. She was a charter member of Venus. She was preceded in death by her parents E.V. and Louisa Blackwell, Sr. and her Brother Joel Blackwell. Survivors include her Husband of 50 year Roy Gilbert Childers, Sr. Three Children, Vicki (Kyle) Lane of Mobile, Alabama, Roy (Denise) Childers, Jr. of Calera, Alabama, and Timothy (Daphne) Childers of Satsuma, Alabama, Three Brothers, Verrell (Jean) Blackwell, Jr. of Dothan, Alabama, Luther Roy (Debbie) Blackwell of Satsuma, Alabama and Benjamin (Jamie) Blackwell of Humbolt, Texas, Nine Grandchildren, Petty Officer Johnathan (Jessica) Childers U.S.N., Audrey Childers, Tiffany Childers, Sidney Childers, Brooke Lane, Bradley Lane, Timothy Childers, Jr., Christopher Ryan Childers and Bryce Childers, Two Great Grandchildren, Kayla and Adam Childers, Nieces, Nephews and other relatives. The Family would like to give special thanks to Spring Hill Hospice and to all of her friedns. Funeral Services will be held Friday September 12, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
