Mr. Heverly, 71, of Utahville, Coalport RD, died at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 1989, at his residence. Mr. Heverly retired as a resort chef in 1982. He was born Aug. 13, 1917, in Utahville, the son of Frank and Jeannette (Heverly) Edelblute, and was twice married: first, in Buffalo, N.Y., to Lucy Delappi, and then on June 16, 1973, in Canada, to Adaline Gathagan. Surviving are his wife, six children: Joanna of Pompano Beach, Fla.; Harry, Jacquelyn Krystneiak, Sandra Kramer and Kimberly Kawa of Cheektowaga, N.Y., and Harriet Moffett of Tonawanda, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Heverly was an Army veteran of World War II, serving as first sergeant. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow

HEVERLY – Services for Harry W. Heverly of Utahville, Coalport RD, will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow, by the Rev. Robert Iddings. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Utahville. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. until the time of services Sunday at the funeral home. Graveside military honors by the Coalport VFW.
