Doris was born December 17, 1934 in Cabarrus County to the late William Farrel Talley and the late Blanche Levenia Talley. She was also preceded in death by great-grandson, Joziah Mynatt.
She is survived by her three children, Jan Harris and husband Dean of Midland, Carolyn Moore and husband Donnie of Stallings, and Darrel Gant and wife Barbara of Midland; seven grandchildren, Tiffany Simpson, Jared Harris, Tara Mynatt, Travis Moore, Eric Gant, Christie Gant and Samantha Gant; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Levenia Roden and husband Jack of Harrisburg.
Doris was a faithful member of Concord First Assembly. She worked at Stonewall Jackson as a baker, which was her passion. She made all of her children's wedding cakes.
